Character Personality & History:
This has already been decided.

The time between life and death can be measured in days, weeks, months, years, decades and for a few chosen few: centuries. Stars measure their lives in billions of years, but he fell somewhere in between. (Had he lived once, as a human? Yes. Once. Somewhere in his oldest memories there exists that life that ended on a voyage across the ocean.)

Before the crush of civilization, when the world was still young, civilizations still nascent, and before the trample of technology, when bare feet crossed the earth and the people believed that things beyond their understanding were magic, the oldest of his line formed. They followed the paths of human feet and the mighty beasts they hunted. They learned the intricacies of their lives, how they made their choices, their logic behind them, and how those little choices would affect others for years to come. And they learned how to craft those moments which would change things, and how to see what effect they would have.

With each human they learned. Yet, they could never make their choices for them, and to consider doing so left each of them feeling shaken, like the earth after an earthquake, all of their firmament in rattling motion.

It was one of the first things he would learn, when the title passed from The-One-Before to him. He would learn all these laws that governed him anew in the first few decades of his new existence, and learn he must before the knowledge of Those-That-Came-Before passed onto him and he could benefit from their collective years. Experience was always the best teacher however, and as the New World grew, so did he.

That little thing to consider, that brief blip of maybe, was easy to wipe it from the realm of possibilities for himself and to continue with what felt as natural to him as breathing to the living. Better that than the feeling it left behind.

Their decisions took his family - how else could he describe them? They were the ones he was closest to, those ones that were like him but not. They were a unit, a cell in the body of the universe, and they needed all of their parts - to the City, and he migrated with them, weighed down by the tediousness of knowing. He arrived after his sister, hoping for something new, something different, and it came in small doses. A family in need. A woman who's smile he could not see (sight remained a part of that old life, not this one), but still felt the warmth from.

And as before, he followed when they migrated again to a smaller town, a quieter town and like his sister, the powers that governed them reduced his focus to a single place. A retirement of sorts, in preparation for a new him that was forming - one that would find the world fresh and new as he once had.

Behind the mansion lovingly referred to as the Addams Family Mansion, he grew a garden. Lovingly tended, full of buzzing life - and him. His sister's arrival in town brought a rare smile, and the house, being too big for only him, soon became home to two of them.

This was already decided.

Town Connections;

The family: Five of them, brothers, sisters, an one that defies traditional roles. The reaper is Emily
[info]soundofwings.
The star: Her. She makes him feel something he hasn't felt in a very long time.
The others: He particularly enjoys other pre-cogs. Birds of a feather and all that.
